After a season opener 3-1 win against Baker, the Bowman County Bulldogs kept the momentum and swept the Hazen Bison at home on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The opening set ended with an 8-point separation, with the Dawgs coming out ahead 25-17. That set saw the biggest scoring gap between the two of all three sets. The Bison paced the lady Dawgs well in the second set. It took extras, but Bowman County managed to stay ahead and finished with a 27-25 win advantage.
By the third set the Bulldogs had the Bison figured out, and came away with the sweep with a 25-20 victory in the third set.
Senior Elise Fischer led the way with five aces, followed by senior Ashlynn Dix who had three. Leading the team in digs was Dix, who had 19. Senior Jill Svihovec followed Dix with 17. Dix recorded nine kills with Fischer following close behind with seven.
On the defensive end, freshman Ellie Powell led the team with seven blocks. Svihovec followed her with three.
The lady Dawgs play two non-regional games before traveling to Dickinson to face the Titans on Thursday, Sept. 12.
