ND High School Rodeo Finals Come to Bowman

Rhame’s Cashae McGee placed second in the Breakaway Roping competition at the North Dakota High School Rodeo Association to be one of the top local finishers at the State Finals over the weekend.

The top four finishers qualified for the nationals.

McGee finished behind Mariah Topp of Grace City.

McGee also grabbed a second place in the Goat Tying, barely beating out Amidon’s Elli Rettinger, who placed third.

Bowman’s Jayda Miller was sixth in the Barrel Racing and ninth in Pole Bending.

Rettinger, who attends New England Public School, also was first in the second go of the Goat Tying event with a time of 7.960 seconds. McGee was fifth with a time of 8.710 seconds.
