Bowman Rodeo Ready: NDHSRA ready to kick off Wednesday

Bowman will be again hosting the North Dakota High School Rodeo Activities State Finals.

The event which bring the best of the state’s prep rodeo talents to Bowman will run from June 14 through June 16.

All rodeo performances will be held in the Dakota Winds Outdoor Arena.

The event will kick off June 12 with contestant registration from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Concession building. In addition, there will also be camping electric hookup payment and stall assignments.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday, the Cow Cutting will start with the first and second Gos in the indoor arena.

The first event Thursday will be Cutting at 8 a.m. with the Short Go at the All Seasons Indoor Arena.

After the Cutting is over, the Reigned Cow Horse first Go will follow.

The Rifle and Trap Shoot contest will follow at 1 p.m. at the Amidon Fairgrounds, while at the same time the Queen Horsemanship contest will be held at the All Seasons Indoor Arena.

Right after the Queen Horsemanship event in the All Seasons Indoor Arena, there will be the Reined Cow Horse Second Go at 2 p.m.

Registration for the state finals contestants will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Concession building.

The Queen Pageant and Social will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Four Seasons Pavilion.

At 6 p.m., there will be Family Team Roping.

Friday’s (June 14) events will start at 7 a.m., with the state finals contestant registration in the Concession building.

That will follow with a mandatory contest meeting at the Dakota Winds Grandstand, with  a roll call taken.

At 10 a.m., the schedule goes into full swing with a Rodeo.
