Although the Mott-Regent/New England girls squad won one event, the visiting Wildfire was able to grab a third-place finish in the Dacotah Bank Relays in Lemmon April 18 in South Dakota.

It was the quartet of Angel Erickson, Kiara Koepplin, Morgan Hertz and Rachelle Kathrein which beat the Timber Lake foursome to the finish line in the 4×200 meter relay. The Wildfire finished with a time of 1:56.58 to beat out the second-place squad by almost two seconds and the third-place team from Bowman County by almost four seconds.

But it was the Lady Bulldogs winning the team crown with a total of 138.5 points. New was second with 95 points, while Mott-Regent/New England finished third with 80 points.

Boys

Bowman County Bulldogs who claimed the boys team crown with a total of 116 points. Timber Lake was second with 98 points, followed by Warner (83) and Mott-Regent/New England (64). The host team, Lemmon, placed fifth with 57 points in the 17-team field.
