“The Truth”

The Bible is the written Word of God for humanity.(2 Timothy 3:16) The Bible teaches us the fundamental ways to live and conduct ourselves as Christians.

It teaches us to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It teaches us to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves. The Bible is “the truth”. It is the largest part of the foundation on which our entire governing system was established. The Bible is the truth upon which our society was founded.

There are forces in our day and age that are working against God and His word, to undermine and destroy its credibility. If we  eliminate the Scripture, we effectively eliminate the truth. If we eliminate truth, the only option for our society is to crumble. A society can not exist where everyone has their own truth, and there is no absolute truth! It will end in utter and absolute confusion.

Just imagine if your own truth said murder was acceptable. Just imagine if your own truth said you never had to reach out and lend a helping hand. Imagine a world that ran completely off of emotions and not truth. Imagine a world with no restrictions, restraints, or responsibilities. People would be so evil to one another. This is what a world without the truth of God’s Word would look like.

I believe we can apply Jesus’ parable of building your house upon a rock to this article.(Luke 6:47-49) If we hear the sayings of Jesus but don’t apply them to our individual lives, it will effect our society as a whole. We are effectively building our lives and society upon nothing more then a house of cards!

It’s important that we as individuals get back to reading, learning, understanding, and most importantly, applying the word of God to our lives! Applying its truth to our lives instead of coming up with our “own truth”. Not only will you be blessed as an individual, our children, grandchildren, and entire society will be blessed!

Psalms 128:1 (KJV)

“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.”
