Irma Lee (McNutt) Rasmussen, 86, passed into the loving arms of the Lord, Saturday, January 26, at St. Benedicts Healthcare Center, Dickinson, ND.
Irma was born on January 14, 1933 in Worland, WY, the only daughter and seventh child born to the late Elmetta Larson and James McNutt.
She was class salutatorian graduating in 1951 from Washakie County High School, Worland, WY. She married the late Robert (Bob) Rasmussen, August 3, 1951. They spent most of their married life living in Wyoming until Bob’s death in 1989. Irma relocated to Bowman, North Dakota, then on to the warmth of Arizona, and eventually moved back to the Midwest to be near family. She lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota and her final years in North Dakota.
Irma’s love of music was evident until her death. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, and sang in the church choir for many years. She worked as an administrative/executive assistant to bank presidents and eventually retired from the utility company where she was very proud of the computer skills she had perfected necessary for proficiency in her position.
She is survived by two daughters; Lynn (Scott) McCulley, Jerome, ID and Bobbe (Ross) Teigen, Bowman, ND/Florence, AZ; five grandsons Jeffrey Jangula, Bismarck, ND, Robert Jangula, Mandan, ND, Seth (Nicole) Teigen, Milwaukee, WI, Skyler (Lesley) Teigen, St. Paul, MN, Shane (Lindsay) Teigen, Watford City, ND; and eleven great grandchildren, Bailey, Christan and Kaden Jangula, Deacon and Graham Teigen, Huck Teigen, Jackson, Kasen, Austyn, Riley and Shelby Teigen; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, and brothers Willard, Lewis, Harvey, Glen McNutt, and two infant brothers.
A private family service is planned with internment at the Gascoyne, ND cemetery. Donations can be made to the Gascoyne ND cemetery or St. Benedicts Healthcare Center, Dickinson, ND.
