Della Wallman, the daughter of Joyce and Marie Ward, was born in Reeder, ND on August 7, 1934. She attended Haley School through 8thgrade and then attended Bowman High School.

Della married Clayton Wallman on October 23, 1952. Together they have 3 children: Shannon, Rocky, and Vickie, and later fostered Rex Eagon.

As a teenager Della participated in 4-H and YCL. After marrying, she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Ladies Aid at Bethany Church. She was a 4-H assistant leader for 20 years. Della later worked at the Rhame Locker for several years. She assisted Clayton and JoAnn Schwartz with painting all over the area.  From 1993 to present Della has been working at ABLE Inc. where she enjoyed spending time with all of her coworkers. She often said “I wish I was younger so I could work longer.”

More than anything Della loved to sew. From bridesmaid dresses to quilts. She was the seamstress for the entire county. She always had so many craft ideas that kept everyone in her life busy. Della’s second passion was gambling and shaking dice, with family and girlfriends, from Baker to Deadwood. Della enjoyed looking for antiques at rummage sales, auctions and flea markets. She liked watching the Minnesota Twins and Wheel of Fortune. Della also enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. She was famous for saying “there are only two colors in the world red and ugly.” We will always remember her for the loving, kind, funny and generous person she was.

Della is survived by daughter Shannon (Jack) Kline, Bismarck, ND, their two children: Derek Kline, Bismarck, ND, and Witney (Andy) Nielsen, Bismarck, ND; son Rocky Wallman, Collinsville, OK, his step children: Casey (Brian) Barnett and their daughters Katherine and Eleanor, Little Rock, AR, Talia Woltz, her son Cash, Owasso, OK, and Kendra Woltz, her son Griffin, Yukon, OK; and daughter Vickie (Barry) Gartner, Hermantown, MN; foster son Rex (June) Eagon, Rhame, ND, their two children: Dillon and Kalorada; brother Ernie (Shari) Ward; as well as many nieces and nephews.
