Festival of Lights lit up Bowman City Park on December 5, 2018. At 6 p.m. the community gathered in the shelter decorated by Bowman County Development Corporation to sing carols, listen to poems, and give the countdown to the lighting.
“The Hallmark moment happened in Bowman tonight.” said Dana Eagon.
As nearly 200 people walked the luminary lit path you could feel the joy as they listened to the carolers and Saxy Brass. Smiles were wide as people stopped to take pictures throughout the park. Children played on the playground and everyone enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate.
“There is absolutely nothing like community gathering, Christmas spirit, snow falling, and magic all in one place!” said Chrissy Blankenbaker.
The park will continue to be lit every night through the new year. If you couldn’t make it to the first night make sure you see it this season.
