The funds raised for October were donated to the Bowman Lions. The Lions Club is a service organization which is involved in the following events: Medical benefits for individuals, “Night at the Races” with proceeds going to the glucose screening kits used for the Southwest Healthcare Health Fair, assist at rodeos, White Cane Day, school half-time bingo, Super Bowl Soup and Sandwich Benefits, eye glasses for the needy, drug awareness programs, purchased visual screen enhancer for long term care, etc. Also, the Lions operate and maintain Lions Park (southeast edge of Bowman).
New members are always welcome! Monthly membership meetings are the 1st Monday of the month at Bowman Lodge, dinner @ 6:30 pm and meeting at 7:00pm. Jean’s Day monies are collected on the last Friday of each month and a different charity is donated to each month. Next month’s charity is The School of Promise & Tot Lot.
