Jeanne Alma Corey, 78

Jeanne Alma Corey, 78, of Dickinson, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home in Dickinson. In accordance with Jeanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Jeanne Alma Huber was born February 18, 1940 in Rhame, ND, the daughter of Frank and Bernilda (Smedisang) Huber. She grew up on the family farm near Bowman and attended grade school near her home. When it was time for her to attend high school, Jeanne moved to Bowman to live with her grandma. After graduation, Jeanne worked as a clerk for the city of Bowman. In 1960, Jeanne and Gordon Corey were united in marriage. To this union five children were born: Paul, twins, Sarah and Karen, Clay and Heidi. In 1965, the family moved to California where Jeanne worked at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard for ten years. She then went to work for the Immigration and Naturalization Service for ten years, and the City of Torrence for ten years before moving to Kent, WA to work as an Admin for Valley Comm 911. In 2000, Jeanne retired and moved home to Bowman to care for her mother. After her mother’s passing, Jeanne moved to Dickinson, and has called it her home ever since. While living in Dickinson, Jeanne enjoyed working at the Senior Center.
Jeanne enjoyed spending time crocheting, coloring and completing puzzles. She loved spending time spoiling her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Paul (Sherri), Clay (Tammy) and Heidi; grandchildren, Micah, Berit, Aiden, and Christine; siblings, Colleen and Jana; lifelong friend, Shirley Winczewski; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bernilda; infant daughters, Sarah and Karen; and siblings, Francine and Rory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeanne’s memory to the Dickinson ARC, Bakken Paws or a charity of your choice.
