The Bowman County FFA members had an extremely successful day at FFA District Leadership Contest on Oct. 1, 2018, at Dickinson State University campus at the Beisot Activity Center along with ten other schools from Southwestern North Dakota.

The Parliamentary Procedure team received a Gold award and took 2rd place and advances to the State Parliamentary Procedure contest. The team had to complete opening and closing FFA ceremonies and perform two problem sets consisting of 10 parliamentary procedures in less than ten minutes and thirty seconds. Students are evaluated on their ability to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting using parliamentary procedure. Participants are judged on their knowledge of parliamentary law and their ability to present logical, realistic and convincing debate and motions.
The Bowman County FFA officer team is advised by Mrs. Mary Fischer. The Parliamentary Procedure team consist of President: Beau Jeffers (Gold), Vice President: Michaela Fischer (Gold Officer of the Day), Sentinel: Kevin Fischer(Gold), Reporter: Mitch Stuber (Gold Officer of the Day), Treasurer: Tasha Pond (Gold), Secretary: Emily Belland(Gold Officer of the day), Parliamentarian: Amy Jeffers, and Student Advisor: Brian Miller.
Quiz team: Harley Lardy, Katelynn Griggs, Alex Kolden, Amy Jeffers, and Brendon Rasmussen. (Silver)
Greenhand Parlimentary Producedure consisting of President: Caydon Wolbaum, Vice President: Cheyenne Dodge, Sentinel: Quaid Lardy, Reporter: Brody Headly, Secretary: Shayna Pond, Treasurer: Abby Andrews, Student Advisor Alison Hoff and members at large Ben Knopp and Jayda Miller placed Silver.
