The Live Wire 4H group met March 8 for its monthly meeting. Kylee Hendrickson called the meeting to order. Kaylee Kinsey led the American pledge and Abi Bartholomay led the 4H pledge. Amy Jeffers read the secretary’s report from February and Beau Jeffers read the Treasurer’s Report. Wendy Bartholomay reported all money was in from Christmas wreath sales. Old business discussed was add/drop project deadline and steer weigh-ins were March 1. Our club has 10 steers going to the fair. New business discussed was how many meetings all the members have been to, to make the six-meeting requirement. Also discussed was where to get lambs for fair and that the ownership deadline for lambs and pigs is May 1. We saved the date for the Bowman County Safety Day that will be held May 27 and other events in the newsletter were discussed also. Members discussed what to do at the next meetings. Making clovers for animal pens at fair, an Easter egg hunt and planning an Ag Olympics for the fair were all brought up. The next meeting will be April 12 at the Bowman City Park with the Four Seasons as a weather back-up. The club made banana bread in jelly jars for Bake and Take and delivered them.
