John R. Reimer, 49, of Scranton, ND died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Scranton. Mass of Christian Burial for John was at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Sept 19, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Scranton. Father Stephen Folorunso officiated with burial that followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation was on Tuesday, Sept. 18th, 2012 from 9-9 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel, Bowman, ND. There was a Rosary and Scripture at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September, 18, 2012 at the Krebsbach/Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel.

John was born in Bowman, ND to Rodney and Colleen (Nichols) Reimer on May 14, 1963. He attended school in Scranton and graduated in 1981. After school he moved to Dickinson, ND and worked for Fettig Vaults for four years. He then moved back to Scranton and worked at Scranton Equity. He met Pam on his 25th birthday in Lemmon. They were united in marriage on July 14, 1990 in Scranton and proudly became the step-father of Lora and Sara. They resided in Scranton where John worked at Scranton Equity. In 1993, they moved to Lemmon, SD where he worked for Midcontinent Communications. In 1998, he became the proud father of Kaitlyn. In 2003, they moved to Bowman, ND where he continued to work for Midco. After his mother passed away in 2006, he moved his family to Scranton where he once again worked for Scranton Equity until his passing.

John was a very loving and caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. He was a hard worker and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed an active family life. Some of his favorite family pastimes were fishing, hunting, driving around, picking berries, playing baseball out in the yard, bbqing, and playing guitar. He also had a love for guns; not to mention his passion for the Fighting Sioux hockey team – both of which he passed on to Kaitlyn. John had a witty sense of humor and always had a quick comeback. He saw the best in every situation, and he had the biggest heart to love with. He was a very giving man and as a bone and organ donor, his giving personality continues. We find comfort in knowing that through his donations he was able to help improve the lives of several others. We are blessed to know that the John we all love will now continue to be a part of other people’s lives.

John is survived by his wife Pam; daughters: Lora (James) Pekas of Hettinger, ND, Sara (Justin) Wenner of Olathe, KS, Kaitlyn Reimer of Scranton, ND; Grandchildren: Jaylyn and Maggie Jo Pekas of Hettinger, ND, Landon Wenner and baby sister (due in October) of Olathe, KS; two brothers Fred Reimer of Scranton, ND and Paul Reimer of Minot, ND; one niece Amanda Reimer of Rapid City, SD aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

John was proceeded in death by his parents Rodney and Colleen and grandparents Dick & Evie Reimer and Ike & Lois Nichols.

John loved his family and will be greatly missed by all.
