Beverly J. Carlson, 77, of Bowman, ND, formerly of Rhame, ND, died on July 12, 2012 at the Southwest Healthcare Services Care Center of Bowman.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Rhame, ND. Reverend Galen Strand will officiate and burial will follow in the Tuttle Cemetery of Rhame. There will be visitation from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Krebsbach Funeral Home Chapel.
Beverly J. Idler was born on October 20, 1934 in Rhame, ND, the daughter of George and Erna (Schade) Idler. She received her education in Rhame, graduating from Rhame High School in 1952. After high school Bev attended Dickinson State College. She taught country school at Crawford. Bev was united in marriage to Donald Carlson on October 3, 1953 at the First Lutheran Church of Rhame.
Bev and Don raised their two children, daughter Denise and son Jon, in Rhame. Bev taught kindergarten in Rhame, worked at the Sunset Home and Rexall Drug in Bowman, and Farmers Union in Rhame. She worked at the Farmers Union until 1976 when she retired due to illness. She dealt successfully with several serious health problems throughout her life and many caregivers would comment on her strength. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Family was always important to Bev and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Rhame where she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Rhame.
Bev is survived by Daughter and son-in-law Denise and Mark Loutzenhiser of Washburn, ND; Son, Jon Carlson of Bowman, ND; Grandchildren, Miranda Carlson of Bowman; and Keith Loutzenhiser of Bismarck, and Kayla Loutzenhiser of Washburn; Sisters, Glenda Kniefel of Billings, MT; Bonita and Ervin Follmer of Glendive, MT; Brother, Dennis & Judy Idler of Glasgow, MT; Brother-in-law, Herbert Carlson of Rhame; Sisters-in-law, Ione Carlson of Bowman, ND and Mary Fossum of Canada; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, George and Erna (Schade) Idler; two infant brothers, and her husband Donald.
