Courthouse to host wreath decorating for non-profits

The Bowman County Courthouse is hosting a wreath decorating contest to spruce up the building for the holiday season, and to raise money for various local, non-profit organizations.

Pioneer Editor

Brosz Engineering graciously provided the funds to purchase the wreaths and to offset decorating costs for each of the pre-selected organizations.

A kick-off event will begin at 4 p.m. on Nov. 17 and last two hours in the Commissioner’s Room at the Courthouse.

A final silent bid party will be hosted on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Christmas goodies to be served. At that time the recipient of the wreath will take the wreath to their home or business to enjoy for the holiday season.

The wreaths will be on display throughout the courthouse halls from Nov. 17 through Dec 6.

All of the money that is raised from the specific wreath, will be given directly to that organization.

Participating organizations include Up And Coming Homemakers, ABLE, Cedar Chest, Girls Scouts, Tot Lot, Cub Scouts, Bowman Lions, Dollars for Scholars, Hope and Healing Therapeutic Riding, Bowman County 4-H, Rhame Community Club, Bowman/Slope Community Cupboard, Bowman/Slope Community Foundation, Rhame American Legion, Dakota Prairie Helping Hands, and Scranton Lions Club.

For more information, contact Sandi Tivis at 701-523-3130 or Jodi Freier at 701-523-3129.
