Scranton High School hosts Career Discovery North Dakota for students and parents

Scranton High School is hosting Career Discovery ND on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for students in grades 7-12 and their parents. The event is an opportunity to learn about scholarship opportunities, student loans, job prospects, and career planning.
Representatives from these North Dakota state agencies: Bank of North Dakota, Department of Commerce, Department of Public Instruction, and Career & Technical Education, along with the Center for Technology & Business will present.
A snack sponsored by Dakota Western Bank will be provided. Parents and students can choose from a variety of presentations given in three short sessions. Parents are asked to register at bnd.nd.gov/careerdiscoverynd/ to ensure adequate handouts and food.
“This is an excellent opportunity to hear from the experts regarding career and education options for our students,” states Scranton High School counselor, Denise Oase. “It is exciting for our young people to consider their future dreams and plan accordingly”
