Ronald “Ron” L. Buzalsky, 54, of Rapid City, S.D., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial for Ron was Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman. Fr. Paul Eberle celebrated the Mass with burial to take place at a later date in the Bowman Cemetery. There was a Rosary and Vigil Service on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at the St. Charles Catholic Church that began at 7:00 p.m.
Ron was born on Dec. 27, 1962, in Bowman, the son ofLeonard and Delores (Martian) Buzalsky. As he was growing up, he spent many days at the Martian farm north of Rhame. Ron graduated from Bowman in 1982.
Ron enjoyed working in the oil field and put all his hard work and money into his pride and joy, his 1972 Chevy Nova.
In 1984, Ron moved to Arizona where he enjoyed the desert sun and fun, spending time with family and friends and outdoor riding an ATV, motocross or motorcycle riding. While there, he worked as a window glazer, installed siding and as a general handy man.
For the last 22 years, Ron resided in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. He would take in the beauty of the Hills either on his dirt bike or motorcycle, hiking, bicycling or just being outdoors.
His contagious and warm smile will be missed by all who loved and cared for Ron.
Ron is survived by his siblings, Shirley (Jeff) Boyce, Tammy Buzalsky, Shawn (Debra) Buzalsky, and Kari Buzalsky, by his special friend, Sandra Sawyer, and Ron’s nephews Trent (Kelsey) Boyce, Tyrel Boyce and niece,Sierra Buzalsky.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard andDelores, his brother Myron, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
