Hazen Captures Lead Early to Defeat Bowman Blue Sox

Bowman Blue Sox fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-2 loss to Hazen on Thursday. Hazen scored on a passed ball and a single by Olander in the second inning.

Hazen captured the lead in the second inning.

Wick earned the win for Hazen. He pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs, five hits, striking out five, and walking one. Jacob Svihovec took the loss for Bowman Blue Sox. He tossed six innings, allowing five runs, five hits, and striking out nine.

Dale Skalicky and Brady Senn each drove in one run to lead Bowman Blue Sox.

Hazen stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Bruner led the way with two.

Bowman Blue Sox Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Lemmon

Bowman Blue Sox took the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Lemmon on Thursday. Bowman Blue Sox was down 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Jacob Svihovec tripled off of No. 24, driving in two runs.

Bowman Blue Sox earned the victory despite allowing Lemmon to score five runs in the third inning. Lemmon’s big inning was driven by a walk , a passed ball , and a walk by No. 4.

Caleb Duffield earned the win for Bowman Blue Sox. He went four and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, zero hits, and striking out nine. No. 24 took the loss for Lemmon. He tossed two and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs, four hits, and striking out one.

Camden Wokal started the game for Bowman Blue Sox. He pitched two and a third innings, surrendering six runs, and one hit. No. 6 started the game for Lemmon. He went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs, two hits, and striking out five.

Wokal led Bowman Blue Sox with two hits in two at bats.

•Bowman Blue Sox Falls in Back-And-Forth Affair Against Heart River

Bowman Blue Sox and Heart River passed the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually Heart River prevailed 13-8. The game was tied at eight with Heart River batting in the top of the seventh when Luke Kordovsky induced Tanner Jarrett to ground out, but one run scored.

Despite the loss, Bowman Blue Sox did collect 15 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Heart River had seven hits on the way to victory.

Bowman Blue Sox captured the lead in the first inning. Brady Senn singled on a 2-0 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

After Heart River scored one run in the top of the fifth, Bowman Blue Sox answered with one of their own.

Bowman Blue Sox scored four runs in the fourth inning. Bowman Blue Sox scored on a double by Caleb Duffield, a single by Clay Heimer, and a single by Dale Skalicky.

Xander Krumpf earned the win for Heart River. He threw two innings, surrendering one run, one hit, striking out one, and walking one. Luke Kordovsky took the loss for Bowman Blue Sox. He pitched one and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs, and four hits.

Camden Wokal started the game for Bowman Blue Sox. He tossed five innings, surrendering six runs, three hits, and striking out three. Tanner Obrigewitch started the game for Heart River. He pitched four innings, allowing seven runs, 13 hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Senn, Tucker Strand, Skalicky, Duffield, and Wokal each collected multiple hits for Bowman Blue Sox. Skalicky went 2-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.

The Blue Sox finished their season 15-5.
