Three seats on the Bowman County School Board and two on the Scranton School Board will be up for election in June.

The four-year terms of Ann Fischer and Russ Homelvig, both representing the Rhame district, will expire this year after both have served on the Bowman County School Board for eight years.

Sharon Holder, representing the Bowman district, will also exhaust her term. She had served on the board for eight years.

Only one petition to be placed on the primary ballot had been filed with the school’s business manager as of Wednesday. That was submitted by Bowman resident Brad Pauley, who will run for Holder’s seat.

Board members elected will begin their term with the 2016-17 school year in the fall.

Scranton Public Schools will see two board member positions expire this year.

Seats belonging to Kim Sanford and Tony Dillon of Scranton, who were elected in 2013, will be up for election.

Both seats carry a three-year term.

Angie Eberle, business manager for Scranton schools, said no petitions have been filed with her as of Wednesday to be placed on the ballot.

April 4 is the filing deadline for candidates.
